Uma Casa de Cultura - Projeto de Programação e Gestão do Cineteatro de Torre de Moncorvo

Abstract

The present project work is part of the curricular plan of the master’s degree in Artistic Studies. It is in the search for a better understanding of cultural management that we find this work and all its globality, from its cognition to its application. The work methodology comprises three distinct phases: a cultural and historical study of Torre de Moncorvo's cinema, an analysis of its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and, finally, a concise and thoughtful proposal for a new artistic centre. In this first moment, the cultural and historical study of the Torre de Moncorvo cineteatro ends up trying to define a recognized order of cultural references, from the foundation of the cineteatro, from its unique purpose in the city and in the region, to its unstable relationship with current methodologies. The SWOT analysis, in this work, seeks to be a bridge between the mismanagement of most of the cinemas today – namely the one in Torre de Moncorvo – and the proposal for change, not only structural, but also ideological. The last stage of the work, in the light of the knowledge acquired, gives impetus to a change of thinking, with the conviction that the only possible way to save the cinema of Torre de Moncorvo is through a new ideology. It is in the webs of a new ideology, of a new tendency that this work is based, seeking alternatives to free the lack of localized culture, not thought, reflected only through the thought of others, and transforming it into a clear idea, believing it to be also fair, based on criticism, reasoning and future projection.

O presente trabalho de projeto insere-se no âmbito do plano curricular do mestrado de Estudos Artísticos. É na procura por uma melhor compreensão da gestão cultural que se situa este trabalho, na sua globalidade, desde a sua cognição, à sua aplicação.A estrutura de trabalho compreende três fases distintas: (a) um estudo cultural e histórico [de influência] do Cineteatro de Torre de Moncorvo; (b) uma análise SWOT, sobre as forças, fraquezas, oportunidades e ameaças; (c) e, por fim, a proposta concisa e pensada de um projeto para um novo centro artístico.Nesta primeira instância, o estudo cultural e histórico do Cineteatro de Torre de Moncorvo acaba por tratar de definir uma ordem reconhecida de referências culturais, desde a fundação do cineteatro, do seu propósito único na vila e na região, à sua instável relação com as metodologias dos dias de hoje.A análise SWOT, neste trabalho, procura ser uma ponte entre a má gestão de boa parte dos cineteatros atualmente – especificamente o de Torre de Moncorvo – e a proposta de alteração, não só estrutural, mas também ideológica da mesma.A última etapa do trabalho, à luz dos conhecimentos adquiridos, lança um alento à mudança de pensamento, com convicção de que o único caminho para a possível salvação do Cineteatro de Torre de Moncorvo é mesmo através de uma nova ideologia.É nas teias de uma nova ideologia, de uma nova tendência que se baseia este trabalho, procurando alternativas para libertar a falta de cultura localizada, não pensada, refletida apenas através de pensamentos alheios, e transformando-a numa ideia clara, acreditando ser também justa, fundada na critica, no raciocínio e na projeção futura.
