The shear connectors were made with two different geometries by varying the connector flange thickness. The TPerfobond connectors presented two web holes and were immersed into 120mm thick concrete slabs. Reinforcing steel bars were used inside the web holes to increase its structural performance. A numerical study was also made to aid the shear connector design aiming to increase its associated deformation capacity.
