O VIH/SIDA e as suas representações : uma análise antropológica dos discursos sobre o VIH/SIDA no jornal Diário

Abstract

Esta dissertação procura analisar a linguagem presente nas notícias sobre o VIH/SIDA, presentes no jornal Diário de Coimbra, ao longo de 32 anos. Partindo destas notícias serão analisados em particular os discursos religiosos, científicos, governamentais e não-governamentais para percebermos como se originou a evolução do pensamento social sobre a SIDA. Através da análise discursiva das notícias iremos “perseguir as metáforas” do VIH, ou seja, iremos captar e descrever metodologicamente os enredos de formação discursiva e as suas conexões, produzidas pelas múltiplas fontes de informação acima mencionadas. Ao longo deste trabalho pretendemos mostrar quais os grupos populacionais mencionados nas notícias e quais as entidades que se destacam no papel de divulgação de informações sobre a epidemia. Veremos ainda como se articulam os discursos sobre o VIH/SIDA e os discursos sobre a sexualidade

This dissertation seeks to analyze the present language in the news about HIV / AIDS, present in the newspaper Diário de Coimbra, for 32 years. Starting from these reports will be analyzed in particular the religious discourses, scientific, governmental and non-governmental organizations to understand how the evolution of social thought about AIDS originated. Through discourse analysis of news we will "pursue metaphors" of HIV, in other words, we will capture and methodologically describe the plots of discursive formation and its connections, produced by the multiple sources of information mentioned above. Throughout this paper we intend to show which demographic groups mentioned in the news and which entities stand in the role of disseminating information about the epidemic. We will also see how do discourses on HIV / AIDS and the discourse on sexuality articulate.
