Abstract

During the long period between the Renaissance and the outset of Romanticism, the Petrarchan example was a role model establishing the same code for recognized aesthetic and human values. In relation to the representation of the feminine form, when a woman does not correspond to that patern mimicry becames the sign of a double articulation.
