Do atelier à Bienal: CAPC e a bienal de arte contemporânea em Coimbra

Abstract

Este trabalho pretende apresentar o balanço de um estágio realizado na 2ªBienal Anozero e, ao mesmo tempo, dar a conhecer a evolução e acção do CAPC na divulgação e promoção de arte, desde a sua fundação, até à actualidade, sendo uma instituição activa no meio cultural de Coimbra na difusão e expansão de arte contemporânea. A interacção com a cidade proporcionou ao CAPC a realização de um programa multidisciplinar ao longo dos anos, e após o projecto da sua primeira bienal em 2015, a segunda edição da Bienal Anozero contou com várias manifestações artísticas em vários espaços da cidade. A realização da segunda edição da Bienal Anozero permite perceber melhor como o mundo da arte se expande a todos os tipos de contexto, e o CAPC não é excepção. Como instituição cultural, o CAPC insere-se numa rede de bienais que têm sido um formato atractivo para o sector cultural e urbano pela sua componente geográfica e multidisciplinar, que facilmente se articula com os interesses de várias entidades públicas e privadas que integram, mas que também estabelecem limites ao projecto. O circuito das artes plásticas tem aderido ao formato da bienal, contudo, todas elas têm uma forte componente de actividade colectiva que passam por uma gestão e mediação de recursos, das obras de arte, e dos projectos apresentados, que têm sido um campo de trabalho que se destaca numa dinâmica de políticas urbanas, que caracteriza uma era do Mundo da arte. Na segunda edição da Bienal Anozero, várias foram as dinâmicas de trabalho optadas pelo CAPC que a diferenciaram pela positiva da primeira edição, mas, na produção de um projeto desta natureza, são vários os factores e padrões de imprevisibilidade que surgem durante todo o processo, assim como obstáculos e desafios, que na sua adaptabilidade, criam práticas e métodos que, na sua unidade, são factores identitários de um agente cultural ou de uma instituição.

This work intends to present the balance of a stage held in the 2nd Biennial and, at the same time, make known the evolution and action of the CAPC in the dissemination and promotion of art, from its foundation to the present time, being an active institution in the middle cultural center of Coimbra in the diffusion and expansion of contemporary art. Its interaction with the city provided the CAPC with a multidisciplinary program over the years, and after the project of its first biennial in 2015, the second edition of Biennial Anozero featured several artistic events in various spaces of the city. The realization of the second edition of the Anozero Biennial allows us to better understand how the world of art expands to all kinds of contexts, and CAPC is no exception. As a cultural institution, CAPC is part of a network of biennials that have been an attractive format for the cultural and urban sector due to its geographical and multidisciplinary component, which easily articulates with the interests of several public and private entities that integrate, but also set limits on the project. The plastic arts circuit has adhered to the biennial format, however, all of them have a strong component of collective activity that go through a management and mediation of resources, works of art, and projects presented, which have been a field of work that stands out in a dynamic of urban policies, that characterizes an era of the World of the art. In the second edition of Biennial Anozero, several work dynamics were chosen by the CAPC, which differentiated it by the positive of the first edition, but in the production of a project of this nature there are several factors and patterns of unpredictability that arise during the whole process, as well as obstacles and challenges that, in their adaptability, create practices and methods that, in their unity, are the identity factors of a cultural agent or an institution.
