Fitoterapia-o elixir da juventude da pele

Abstract

A primeira parte deste trabalho consiste numa monografia subordinada ao tema “A Fitoterapia- o elixir da juventude da pele”. O envelhecimento da pele é um processo biológico inevitável que resulta, quer de fatores intrínsecos, quer de fatores extrínsecos. Assim, a procura por produtos cosméticos à base de plantas, com ação antienvelhecimento tem vindo a aumentar, uma vez que revelam bastantes benefícios, não sendo tão agressivos como as substâncias químicas sintéticas. Neste contexto, serão descritas as alterações morfológicas e estruturais que a pele sofre com o envelhecimento, as medidas preventivas que podem ser adotadas para minimizar estas modificações, as diversas plantas e seus componentes com ação antienvelhecimento e as respetivas formulações existentes no mercado, bem como as suas propriedades e mecanismos responsáveis por atenuar os efeitos causados pelo envelhecimento da pele. Numa segunda parte apresentam-se os resultados de uma análise SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) efetuada aos dois estágios realizados. O primeiro, realizado na Direção de Avaliação de Tecnologias de Saúde do INFARMED - Autoridade Nacional do Medicamento e Produtos de Saúde, I. P, em Lisboa e o segundo no ambiente de farmácia comunitária na Farmácia Lemos, no Porto.

The first part of this work consists of a monograph under the theme "The Phytotherapy- elixir of the youth of the skin". Skin aging is an inevitable biological process that results either from intrinsic factors or extrinsic factors. Thus, the demand for cosmetics herbal, with anti-aging action is increasing, since they reveal enough benefits and they are not as aggressive as synthetic chemicals. In this context, will be described the morphological and structural changes that the skin undergoes with aging, preventive measures that can be taken to minimize these changes, the different plants and their components with anti-aging action and the respective existing formulations on the market, as well as their properties and mechanisms responsible for mitigating the effects caused by skin aging. The second part presents a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) made of two stages. The first stage, is being held in the Health Technology Assessment Directorate of INFARMED - National Authority of Medicines and Health Products, I. P, in Lisbon and the second in the community pharmacy setting in Pharmacy Lemos in Porto.
