Jornalismo Cultural Online: Estágio na Magazine.HD

Abstract

No âmbito do Mestrado em Estudos Artísticos, da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, efetuei um estágio curricular na revista digital Magazine.HD, com a duração de três meses, na área do Jornalismo Cultural Online. Neste relatório, de forma global, descrevo o estágio, os objetivos pretendidos com o mesmo e o perfil da entidade de acolhimento. De seguida, apresento todos os processos teóricos que me auxiliaram durante este período de trabalho, bem como uma descrição detalhada dos procedimentos técnicos utilizados. Reforço também a explicação do foco social no entretenimento que serviu de inspiração para a elaboração de artigos em formato de crónica, a estrutura das análises críticas escritas durante o estágio e as normas para a criação de notícias. Por fim, menciono outras atividades específicas que me foram atribuídas e explico o funcionamento da revista em termos de organização e distribuição de horários, rematando com uma conclusão sobre os desafios durante todo o processo de aprendizagem e elaboração de artigos.Os processos técnicos, por sua vez, permitiram uma familiarização com sistemas de criação e edição de websites, tornando possível o contacto com uma linguagem nova e bastante promissora no futuro do jornalismo online. Para concluir o estágio na Magazine.HD proporcionou uma crescente aproximação com questões sociais importantes, resultando na criação de crónicas e outros géneros textuais de análise televisiva, permitindo, assim, um enriquecimento cultural.

As a student in the final year of the Master’s Degree in Artistic Studies, from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities from the University of Coimbra, I made a curricular trainee program in digital online magazine Magazine.HD, during three months, in the field of online cultural journalism. On this report, I start by presenting this trainee program and what motivated me to choose it, as well as an introduction of the entity which hosted my program. After this, I explain all the theoretical procedures that helped me throughout this working period, and the technical knowledge acquired while using an online platform. I also reveal the sources of inspiration that made me focus on social issues in the field of entertainment and the writing process, as well as the particular structure of developing reviewing analyses and the creation of news articles. Towards the end of this report, I mention all the other specific activities I developed throughout the program and describe how the magazine works in terms of team organization and schedule. On the report’s final summary, I talk about the challenges that emerged during the learning period and the writing of the articles created. The technical procedures learnt throughout the trainee program helped to understand a how to use a website system that can be extremely helpful for the future of online journalism. To summarize, the trainee program developed at Magazine.HD allowed to be familiarized with important social issues, which, therefore, allowed me to create different texts based on these questions. This contributes for a personal cultural enrichment of these particular subjects.
