Aportes da Psicologia Social: desigualdades sociais no contexto da educação brasileira

Abstract

Este estudo se insere na linha de pesquisa “Aportes da Psicologia Social à compreensão de problemas sociais”, desenvolvido no Programa de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Psicologia Social da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) junto ao Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero, Raça e Idade (NEGRI). Para tanto sua organização consiste em duas partes: a primeira refere-se aos estudos do NEGRI no contexto sócio histórico buscando compreender os eixos de desigualdades de “raça” no contexto da educação brasileira; já a segunda sessão dedica-se à teoria sobre relações raciais no Brasil de autores contemporâneos que são utilizadas como aportes teóricos junto ao NEGRI, bem como um breve relato sobre o campo metodológico, a hermenêutica de profundidade (HP), definida por John B. Thompson (2011). Nossas considerações frente aos estudos apresentados do NEGRI buscaram compreender os eixos de desigualdades de “raça” no contexto da educação, os quais permitiram sustentar uma perspectiva de análise crítica e política para o campo de estudos das relações raciais, com o propósito de descrever e interpretar a operação do racismo estrutural e simbólico na produção e sustentação de desigualdades sociais brasileiras.

This study is part of the research line "Contributions of Social Psychology to the understanding of social problems", developed in the Program of Postgraduate Studies in Social Psychology of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) with the Nucleus of Gender Studies, Race and Age (NEGRI). For this, its organization consists of two parts: the first refers to the studies of the NEGRI in the socio-historical context seeking to understand the axes of inequalities of "race" in the context of Brazilian education; The second session is devoted to the theory of racial relations in Brazil by contemporary authors who are used as theoretical contributions to the NEGRI, as well as a brief report on the methodological field, depth hermeneutics (HP) defined by John B. Thompson (2011). Our considerations regarding the studies presented by NEGRI sought to understand the axes of inequalities of "race" in the context of education, which allowed to sustain a perspective of critical and political analysis for the field of studies of racial relations, with the purpose of describing and interpreting The operation of structural and symbolic racism in the production and sustainability of Brazilian social inequalities.
