Abstract

O presente relatório é o trabalho final da Unidade Curricular ‘Estágio Pedagógico e Relatório’ do mestrado em Ensino de Biologia e Geologia no 3.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra e descreve o trabalho desenvolvido durante o estágio pedagógico na Escola Secundária D. Duarte, em Coimbra. Neste documento efetua-se a apresentação, discussão e análise das atividades realizadas, bem como dos fundamentos teóricos relacionados, com vista ao sucesso académico dos alunos com os quais se desenvolveu a referida prática letiva. Este estágio, que teve como principal objetivo dar ao professor estagiário, o primeiro envolvimento direto com a prática docente e com o ensino formal das ciências, permitiu ainda ampliar o contacto com a realidade escolar e com o sistema educativo português. A atividade letiva propriamente dita, foi desenvolvida com uma turma do 8.º ano e com outra do 11.º ano, respetivamente nas disciplinas de ‘Ciências Naturais’ e ‘Biologia e Geologia’, com incidência nos conteúdos de Ecologia e Mineralogia apresentados e propostos pelas ‘Aprendizagens Essenciais’ e por documentos orientadores, nomeadamente pelas “Metas Curriculares” do 8.º ano e pelo “Programa” do 11.º ano. Anteriormente à atividade letiva, foi também importante contactar e desenvolver outras realidades igualmente importantes, fundamentais para que a mesma fosse bem-sucedida, pelo que se apresenta no presente relatório o estudo e aprofundamento científico dos conteúdos, bem como a fundamentação teórica inerente aos recursos e estratégias utilizados. Além disso, apresentam-se também os tão relevantes processos de planificação e produção de recursos, úteis e essenciais à concretização do processo de ensino aprendizagem. A recolha e avaliação de evidências de resultados e outras evidências sobre a evolução dos conhecimentos dos alunos mostra, para ambas as turmas, uma melhoria dos conhecimentos adquiridos, facto que poderá indicar a seleção apropriada e a realização bem conseguida das atividades.

This report is the final work of the Curricular Unit 'Pedagogical Training and Report’ of the master's degree in Biology and Geology Teaching in 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and in Secondary Education of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. Is describes the teaching work developed during a pedagogical training held at “Escola Secundária D. Duarte”, in Coimbra (Portugal). The document contains a presentation, discussion and analysis of the activities carried out, as well as the related theoretical contents needed to achieve the academic success of the students included in the teaching practice. This internship, which had as main objective to give to the trainee teacher, the first direct involvement with the teaching exercise and the formal teaching of sciences, also allowed to enhance the contact with the school reality and the Portuguese educational system. The teaching activity itself was developed with a class from the 8th year and another from the 11th year, respectively in the disciplines of “Ciências Naturais” ('Natural Sciences') and “Biologia e Geologia” (“Biology and Geology”). The contents of Ecology and Mineralogy envisaged and proposed by the “Aprendizagens Essenciais” (“Essential Learnings”) and other guiding documents were focused, namely by the “Metas Curriculares” (“Curricular Goals”) of the 8th year and by the “Programa” (“Program”) of 11th year. Prior to the teaching activity, it was also important to contact and develop other realities that were equally important and fundamental to its success, which this report present through the study and scientific deepening of the contents, as well as the theoretical foundation inherent to the used resources. In addition, the processes of planning and production of resources, useful and essential to the success of the teaching-learning process are also shown. The sampling and evaluation of results, and other evidences on the evolution of the students' knowledge reveals an improvement in both classes, which may indicate, an appropriate selection and successful accomplishment of the activities.
