O Imediatismo como valor notícia no jornalismo online – Estudo de caso da RTP Notícias

Abstract

Nas últimas décadas o jornalismo online tem revolucionado as sociedades e conquistado a sua popularidade, tanto entre os profissionais e os investigadores académicos como entre os cidadãos. Mas equilibrar a pressão do imediatismo potenciado pela internet e o rigor do processo de produção e verificação dos factos é ainda um desafio para os jornalistas. Os avanços tecnológicos, a globalização da informação e o maior acesso a dispositivos digitais tem transformado o jornalismo e a sua relação com o público. As atualizações constantes e imediatas, a interatividade, a possibilidade de alcançar e interagir com novas audiências através das redes sociais é uma nova realidade para o jornalismo e para a profissão. E, considerando os novos paradigmas, a relação com o público, a produção e difusão de conteúdos online imediata e indiscriminadamente, torna-se imperativo questionar como as novas exigências e critérios de noticiabilidade se têm imposto nas práticas jornalísticas e nas rotinas das redações cada vez mais pressionadas pelas exigências mediáticas. O presente relatório de estágio visa apresentar as atividades realizadas durante o estágio na RTP. E, simultaneamente, procura problematizar a questão do imediatismo no jornalismo online, tendo por base a experiência curricular na redação da RTP Notícias. Neste contexto, pretende-se analisar e compreender as tendências de consumo de notícias online e a perspetiva do público relativamente a estes conteúdos.Se, por um lado, os meios tradicionais são constantemente desafiados face à introdução de novas tecnologias, de forma a garantir a sua continuidade e modernidade, o jornalismo online também o é, mas procurando responder às exigências do meio e das audiências, sem descurar o rigor metodológico inerente às práticas profissionais.

In the last decades, the society has been revolutionized by online journalism and its popularity has being rising among professionals and academic researchers as well as among citizens. However, balancing the pressure between the internet immediacy and the rigor of the production process and facts verification is still highly challenging for journalists. The constant technological progress guiding the globalization of information and enhanced access to digital devices have transformed journalism and its with the audiences. Then, in the context of the new paradigms of information broadcasting, the relationship with the public, the production and diffusion of immediate online content, it mandatory to scrutinize how the new requirements and criteria of newsworthiness have been imposed in the journalistic practices and in the routines of the newsrooms more pressured by the media demand. The purpose of this internship report is to present and discuss the activities carried out during the internship at RTP. Furthermore, this work approaches and debates the issue of immediacy in online journalism, based on the curricular experience in the RTP Notícias newsroom. Given the relevance of this topic and the impact of information difusion on the public, it is also under the scrutiny of the manuscript the trends of consumption of online news and the perspective of the public regarding these contents.If, on the one hand, traditional media are constantly challenged in the face of the introduction of new technologies, in order to guarantee its continuity and modernity, online journalism is also, but seeking to respond to the demands of the media and audiences, without neglecting the methodological rigor inherent in professional practices.
