A Compreensão em Português Língua Materna e em Francês Língua Estrangeira

Abstract

Através de um Estudo de Caso apresenta-se uma reflexão acerca da compreensão leitora, em Português Língua Materna, e da forma como as metodologias apresentadas em aula, por parte do professor, contribuíram para a compreensão dos conteúdos do programa, em Francês Língua Estrangeira. Com base nas didatizações utilizadas em aula no decorrer do ano letivo, reflete-se sobre o seu contributo para uma melhor leitura do texto literário e para uma eficaz aprendizagem da língua. Desta forma, depois de uma contextualização socioeducativa, quer do espaço escolar, quer das turmas onde foi realizada a prática pedagógica, numa segunda parte, o relatório compreende um enquadramento teórico, bem como as atividades realizadas durante a prática letiva supervisionada. As ponderações finais reportam-se à forma como os recursos utilizados poderão ter contribuído, num contexto específico, para uma maior compreensão da leitura, em Português Língua Materna, e para a compreensão e consequente aquisição de novas competências comunicativas, em Francês Língua Estrangeira. A reflexão sobre os resultados obtidos permite concluir que as estratégias de compreensão a utilizar em sala de aula, pelos docentes e pelos discentes, assumem especial importância no que diz respeito à compreensão e análise do texto, tornando os alunos melhores leitores e aproximando-os do texto literário. A compreensão em língua estrangeira torna os alunos capazes de comunicar, tendo-os aproximado de uma língua que lhes era estranha. This is a reflection based on a Case Study of reading comprehension skills in Portuguese mother tongue, and how in class teaching methodologies helped understand the content of the French foreign language curriculum. Looking into the didactic methods implemented in the classroom during the school year, the paper addresses the contribution thereof to improved reading of the literary text and effective language learning. Consequently, after a necessarily brief social-educational contextualization of the school space, the educational project that has been promoted and the classroom where the teaching takes place, located in Coimbra, in the second part the report provides a in-depth theoretical framework about the meaning and importance of reading, comprehension and reading comprehension and describes the activities carried out in one academic year under supervised teaching. The findings address the way the resources used may have helped, in a specific context, towards better reading comprehension in Portuguese mother tongue, and to the understanding and subsequent learning of new communication skills in French foreign language. A reflection on the findings allow us to conclude that the comprehension strategies used in the classroom by teachers and students play an important part in text comprehension and analysis, helping students to become better readers and drawing them to the literary text. Comprehension in the foreign language enables students to communicate, bringing them closer to a language that was strange to them.
