PERCEPÇÕES SOBRE AS PRÁTICAS INTERGERACIONAIS A visão dos profissionais

Abstract

Num mundo onde as alterações demográficas e socias se tornam cada vez mais evidentes, a promoção de práticas intergeracionais tem vindo a ganhar maior importância na sociedade, sendo que é nas organizações do terceiro setor que a sua presença é mais notória, em Portugal. Os estudos no campo intergeracional demonstram que a partilha entre gerações apresenta um forte impacto junto de todos os envolvidos direta e indiretamente. Contudo, denotam-se ainda algumas lacunas quanto à investigação intergeracional junto dos profissionais que as executam. O Distrito de Aveiro surgiu como janela de oportunidade para desenvolver o estudo, pelo seu elevado número de práticas intergeracionais nas organizações. O estudo é baseado no desenho qualitativo, no qual a recolha de dados se executou com recurso a entrevistas narrativas e semiestruturadas com 29 profissionais integrados em práticas intergeracionais de 16 organizações do distrito. A investigação permitiu demonstrar a forma como os profissionais entrevistados teorizam e praticam as distintas fases de uma Prática Intergeracional, sendo elas a planificação, execução e avaliação respetivamente. Nesse sentido, são analisados, junto dos profissionais, os impactos das relações intergeracionais nos idosos, crianças, instituição e meio envolvente, bem como os pontos de convergência e divergência, as inquietações, os constrangimentos e limites bem como a forma como se finalizam estas práticas. Com esta investigação deu-se voz aos profissionais envolvidos nestas práticas, permitindo-lhes partilhar as suas visões, podendo-se assim dar um contributo para a continuidade e consolidação do modo como as práticas intergeracionais são implementadas e gerenciadas.

In the world where demographic and societal changes become too much increasingly evident, the promotion of intergenerational practices become more important in our society, and in the third sector organizations that presence is more evident than others, in the country: Portugal. The Intergenerational studies and research must show us that the intergenerational sharing has a large impact on all the involved people (like older, children, professionals, families and community) directly or indirectly. However, there are still some gaps in the intergenerational investigation, among the professionals who execute them. Aveiro district are a window of opportunities to develop this study, because of the high number of intergenerational practices in organizations. The study is based on qualitative research, with narrative and semi-structured interviews with 29 professionals integrated in intergenerational practices. The research allowed to demonstrate how the interviewed professionals theorize and practice the different phases of an Intergenerational Practice, being the planning, execution and evaluation respectively. Thus, there is an analysis with the professionals about the impacts of intergenerational relations among the elderly, children, institution and environment, as well as points of convergence and divergence, concerns, constraints and limits as well as the way these practices are finalized. With this research, the professionals were able to share their visions and the study could contribute to the continuity and consolidation of the intergenerational practice.
