Abstract

The curricular intership held in the scope of the Master in Clinical Analysis was held from December 2017 to May 2018 in the Clinical Pathology Service at Viana do Castelo Hospital, ULSAM. This service is divided into three sectors: Hematology, Immunochemistry and Microbiology. There was also an opportunity to briefly go through other services, namely the Immunohemotherapy Service and the Public Health Service. The intership allowed for integration into a professional work team and the improvement of theoretical knowledge and analytical methods performed, as well the imporve of knowledge about the implementation of the Quality Management System for the continuous evolution of the laboratory. This document focuses on the two previously selected valencies, Hematology and Immunology, not forgetting to refer that the other sectors and services are equally important for the professionals in the area of Clinical Analyzes. O estágio curricular realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Análises Clínicas decorreu de dezembro de 2017 a maio de 2018, no Serviço de Patologia Clínica do Hospital de Viana do Castelo, ULSAM. Este serviço está dividido em três setores, o setor de Hematologia, Imunoquímica e Microbiologia. Houve ainda oportunidade de passar brevemente por outros serviços, nomeadamente o Serviço de Imunohemoterapia e o Serviço de Saúde Pública. O estágio possibilitou uma integração numa equipa de trabalho profissional e o aperfeiçoamento de conhecimentos teóricos e métodos analíticos executados, bem como o aprimorar do conhecimento sobre a implementação do Sistema de Gestão de Qualidade, para uma evolução contínua do laboratório. Este relatório foca as duas valências previamente escolhidas, Hematologia e Imunologia, não deixando de referir que os restantes setores e serviços são de igual modo importantes para os profissionais da área de Análises Clínicas.
