A influência da Internet na produção jornalística

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio resulta da experiência de estágio de três meses na redação de informação da rádio Antena 1, da RTP, em Vila Nova de Gaia, no âmbito do 2º ano do Mestrado em Comunicação e Jornalismo da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra.As inovações tecnológicas às quais temos estado sujeitos nas últimas décadas alteraram a forma como nos relacionamos com as pessoas, com a vida profissional, com a informação veiculada pelos meios de comunicação e com o mundo em geral. A tecnologia favoreceu, por isso, uma melhoria no acesso a informações que pretendemos obter a qualquer momento do nosso dia a dia. Mas a tecnologia veio, também, alterar a forma como as profissões são encaradas. No caso do jornalismo, com a introdução da Internet nas redações dos media nos anos 90, a rotina dos seus profissionais começou aos poucos a ser alterada e, por consequência, o jornalismo sofreu também ele alterações. Assim, são, por isso, vários os desafios e oportunidades que a presença da Internet trouxe para as redações dos meios tradicionais e é precisamente esse o mote para a análise a que nos propomos ao longo deste trabalho.Este relatório, para além das naturais reflexões acerca do estágio e da sua importância enquanto momento pivotante entre a formação académica e o mercado de trabalho, pretende também refletir sobre o impacto e a influência que o uso da Internet exerce nas rotinas diárias nas redações dos meios de comunicação tradicionais e, para isso, torna-se necessário tratar questões como a pesquisa, produção e difusão. A escolha deste tema resulta da experiência tida durante o estágio, durante o qual se tornou evidente que toda a atividade de um jornalista está, hoje em dia, dependente da Internet e, sem ela, o dia a dia de um jornalista muda significamente. O estágio curricular, que deu mote a este trabalho, teve início a 2 de novembro de 2015, na Antena 1, no Centro de Produção do Norte, em Vila Nova de Gaia. A oportunidade de realizar um estágio é sempre um momento de grande importância antes de nos inserirmos no mercado de trabalho. É o momento em que estamos, pela primeira vez, numa redação de um meio de comunicação social, no qual podemos pôr em prática a aprendizagem tida durante o nosso percurso académico e, sobretudo, usar esse mesmo percurso académico para absorver ao máximo as dinâmicas da produção jornalística.Este relatório de estágio divide-se em dois capítulos que, para além de refletirem sobre o estágio, pretendem analisar esta nova realidade que a Internet veio trazer às redações, essencialmente, na produção dos conteúdos. Assim, no primeiro capítulo, pretende-se enquadrar a história do meio de comunicação social onde foi realizado o estágio curricular, contextualizando-a na história da rádio e do jornalismo radiofónico em Portugal. Numa tentativa de introduzir a questão central deste relatório de estágio, o segundo capítulo centrar-se-á, numa primeira parte, na explicação e na contextualização de conceitos e de realidades que ocorreram nos últimos anos após a inserção do multimédia nas redações dos meios de comunicação. Por isso, o capítulo começa com um enquadramento e uma reflexão sobre a Internet como fator de mudança para o jornalismo e termina com a abordagem ao jornalismo multimédia, no qual se discorre sobre as características desta nova realidade e os desafios que estas mudanças nas práticas jornalísticas têm para a profissão. Na segunda parte do capítulo deste trabalho, far-se-á uma contextualização sobre as inovações tecnológicas que transformaram o jornalismo nos últimos anos, dando maior enfoque à influência da Internet e das redes sociais na prática jornalística e como isso pode alterar a atividade profissional em que se insere.

This internship report is the result of the three-month internship experience in the redaction of the “Antena 1” news, of RTP, in Vila Nova de Gaia, within the scope of the 2nd year of the Master's Degree in Communication and Journalism from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra .The technological innovations to which we have been subject in recent decades have altered the way we relate to people, to professional life, to the information conveyed by the media and the world in general. The technology has favored, therefore, an improvement in the access to information that we intend to obtain at any moment of our day to day. But technology has also changed the way professions are viewed. In the case of journalism, with the introduction of the Internet in the newsrooms in the 1990s, the routine of its professionals began to be gradually altered and, as a consequence, journalism also changed. So, there are, therefore, several challenges and opportunities that the presence of the Internet has brought to the editorial offices of the traditional media and this is precisely the motto for the analysis that we propose throughout this work.This report, in addition to the natural reflections about the stage and its importance as a pivotal moment between the academic formation and the labor market, also intends to reflect on the impact and the influence that the use of the Internet exerts in the daily routines in the essays of means of traditional communication and, for that, it becomes necessary to deal with issues such as research, production and diffusion. The choice of this theme results from the experience during the internship, during which it became evident that all the activity of a journalist is now dependent on the Internet and, without it, the daily life of a journalist changes significantly.The internship, which gave the title to this work, began on November 2, 2015, at Antena 1, at the North Production Center, in Vila Nova de Gaia. The opportunity to take an internship is always a moment of great importance before we enter the job market. It is the moment when we are, for the first time, in a writing of a social media, in which we can put into practice the learning taken during our academic course and, above all, use this same academic course to absorb the dynamics of the Journalistic production.This internship report is divided into two chapters that, in addition to reflecting on the internship, aim to analyze this new reality that the Internet has brought to the essays, essentially, in the production of the contents. In the first chapter, it is intended to frame the history of the media in which the curricular internship was carried out, contextualizing it in the history of radio and radio journalism in Portugal. In an attempt to introduce the central issue of this internship report, the second chapter will focus, in a first part, on the explanation and contextualization of concepts and realities that have occurred in the last years after the insertion of multimedia in the essays of the media communication. Therefore, the chapter begins with a framework and reflection on the Internet as a change factor for journalism and ends with the approach to multimedia journalism, which discusses the characteristics of this new reality and the challenges that these changes in journalistic practices have for the profession. In the second part of this chapter, we will contextualize the technological innovations that have transformed journalism in recent years, giving greater focus to the influence of the Internet and social networks in journalistic practice and how this can change the professional activity in which is inserted.
