Análise de interacção entre dois focos de incêndio - aplicação prática no caso da segurança contra incêndios nos parques de campismo e caravanismo

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo analisar a interação entre dois focos de incêndio, sem a presença de vento e de declive, associando esta análise ao risco de incêndios em parques de campismo e/ou caravanismo (PCC). Neste momento, a maior ameaça aos PCC, são os incêndios provenientes do exterior, que podem originar focos secundários. Surgiu assim a preocupação de interligar o trabalho laboratorial, e as conclusões retiradas relativas ao comportamento dos focos secundários com a gestão do risco deincêndio nos PCC.O estudo foi dividido em duas fases: 1) realização de ensaios laboratoriais e 2)participação em visitas e sessões relativas ao tema do risco de incêndio em parques de campismo e/ou caravanismo.No trabalho laboratorial, relativo ao comportamento do fogo, foi estudado o efeito da variação da distância entre dois focos de incêndio. Nestes ensaios, de um e dois focos de incêndios, foram determinadas e analisadas a velocidade de propagação, o ângulo e altura das chamas, a intensidade do fogo e as temperaturas atingidas. Com este trabalho verificou-se que, ao fim de algum tempo, os dois focos interagem entre si e que a variação da distância entre os mesmos a feta o comportamento global do fogo.No caso dos parques de campismo e/ou caravanismo foi feita uma análise das práticas que afetam o risco de incêndio e das principais dificuldades sentidas pelos gestores no cumprimento da legislação, tendo como objetivo final, a diminuição do risco de incêndio nestes empreendimentos turísticos.

The main objective of this work is to analyze the interaction between two fireoutbreaks, without the presence of wind nor slope. Associated with this laboratory work is the study of the fire safety in campsites. At this point, the biggest threat to the PCC are the fires from the outside, which can lead to secondary outbreaks and creat dangerous situations inside de campsites. Thereby, the concern to interconnect the laboratory work, and the conclusions withdrawn concerning the behavior of secondary focus with the management of the risk of fire in the PCC has emerged.The study was divided into two phases: 1) conducting laboratory tests and 2)participation in visits and sessions related to the theme of fire risk in campsites. In the laboratory work related to the behavior of the fire, we studied the effect of the distance variation between two fire outbreaks. In these trials, with one and two spot fires,the propagation velocity, the angle and height of the flames, the intensity of the fire and the temperatures reached were determined and analyzed. With this work it was found that after some time the two focuses interact with each other and that the variation of the distance between them affects the overall behavior of the fire.In the part related to camping, an analysis of the practices affecting the risk of fire and the main difficulties experienced by the managers in complying with the legislation was carried out, with the final objective of reducing the risk of fire in these tourist ventures.
